The device was designed to increase the useful life of Lithium-Ion batteries. In fact when the bike is not used for prolonged periods the battery progressively discharges and even if Lithium-Ion Batteries have a longer and slower self-discharge period compared to lead-acid Lithium-Ion Batteries have significantly higher discharge limit below which they can no longer be recovered.
To avoid jeopardising proper operation of Lithium-Ion Batteries it is therefore necessary to use the New Ducati Battery Charger Lithium to ensure that your Ducati is ready to start at any time even after a long period of inactivity and not to irreparably damage the Lithium-Ion Battery.
